Install shot, Dulux White. This installation comprises of this wall painting, and two sound pieces embedded below. In RGB colour (which computers use) white is achieved through equal maximum values for Red, Green and Blue. This work is painted using the Dulux colours closest to the R, G, and B colours a computer uses.
The sound piece Dulux White consists of a text to audio app reading the names of all of Dulux's different white paints, except for ones that use the word white in the name. It then combines two whites together every 10 seconds.
The sound piece White to White is a drone track going between a chord to a single frequency. The chord is using the RGB values for Dulux's white paint, while the single frequency it changes to and from is the RGB value of white on a computer.
